3D printing with quality & precision
LaserTool uses additive technology — Powder Bed Fusion Laser (PBF-L) — to 3D print steel components with high precision, performance, and quality. Our Nikon SLM 500 is equipped with four lasers, enabling efficient and stable production.
As a building material, we use SSAB’s steel powder, which provides components with excellent strength, good surface finish, and low porosity. By melting the powder layer by layer according to digital 3D models, we can manufacture complex geometries that are difficult or even impossible to achieve with traditional methods.
This combination of advanced equipment and high-quality Swedish steel allows us to deliver customized metal components with high accuracy and reliable material performance.

Spare Part – Jaw Half
The component we reverse-engineered has been further developed using generative design. By simulating and optimizing for specific loads, we achieved a new design that reduces material usage and shortens print time.
The result is a component with enhanced properties and a weight that is 58% lower than the original design.
Spare Part – Clamping Jaw
This component has also been optimized using generative design. Once again, the new design requires less material, which in turn leads to faster print times.
The result is a component with strengthened properties while the weight is reduced by 50% compared to the original part.
